The term End of Life Vehicle (ELV) refers to a vehicle that has reached the end of its useful life, either by accidental damage, theft/fire damage, or simply through old age (MOT failure / replaced with newer vehicle).
The European End of Life Vehicle (ELV) Directive is aimed at reducing the amount of waste going to landfill from the vehicle recycling process, and increasing the amount of materials recovered.
